Stress Associated with Higher Alzheimer's/Dementia Risk
(Source: Alzheimer's Association) - Surprisingly few adults realize the relationship between Alzheimer's disease risk and heart health, nor that physical activity can be protective against dementia, according to new research reported at the Alzheimer's Association 2009 International Conference on Alzheimer's Disease.

(Source: Utah State University) - Utah State University researchers have demonstrated that the rate of progression of dementia may be slowed by a close relationship with one's caregiver.


Reversal of Cognitive Deficits in Alzheimer's Mouse Model
(Source: EnVivo Pharmaceuticals) - EnVivo Pharmaceuticals announced the reversal of behavioral deficits observed in an Alzheimer's disease transgenic (genetically altered) mice using a gamma-secretase modulator (GSM). The data was announced as part of the pre-clinical characterization of the development candidate EVP-0962.
